| The concept of talent put forward by Mei Yiqi in An Explanation of University Education can be summarized as “fulfilling oneself and making achievements” from the perspective of individuals and socialization.
The purpose of “fulfilling oneself” is to “enhance morality” and stress the harmonious development of cognition, emotion and will. “Making achievements” is aimed at “educating people”, emphasizing preparation for general education and environment of academic freedom. Through the interpretation of An Explanation of University Education, it is found that the university should return to training of people, teacher education, student cultivation and academic freedom. |
