| The academy system is the student management system formed by carrying forward the tradition of the ancient Chinese academy and learning from the student educational mode of foreign residential colleges. At present, the construction of the academy system is faced with such challenges as difficulty in cultural construction, lack of deep-level activities, difficulty in promoting the tutorial system, deficiency in effectiveness of guidance, students’ weak sense of belonging, shortage of initiative in activity organization, unclear definitions of functions between academy and academic school, and lack of work cooperativity. Institutions of higher learning should optimize the construction of the academy system from the aspects of promoting the excellent traditional culture and creating a cultural atmosphere, emphasizing the construction of the tutor team and improving teachers' qualities, adhering to multiple evaluation and attaching importance to students' personal development, strengthening the top-level design and establishing a collaborative managerial mechanism between academy and school. |
