| 吴曾漫录亦称《能改斋漫录》，征引众书，精研前作，搜录时事；以类为别，析为十八卷。笔者摘取的材料，于记事类别，属于诗话和词话；于记事内容，归属“人间花事”；共同点在于撰者力图还原诗词里主人公的真实情事。吴曾之意图，从诗意与意象关系的角度分析，在于建立诗人之意象，使读者能于文字意象之外理解诗意。 |

| Wu Zeng’s Random Notes was written by Wu Zeng, who lived in the Southern Song Dynasty. The author referred to a great variety of poems which were thoroughly studied and recorded social events that were classified into different categories. The book consisted of 18 volumes, depicting the heroes real stories in the original poems. Wu Zeng attempted to create the poets image from the perspective of the relationship between poetic meaning and image in order to help readers understand poetic meaning beyond image. |
