| Chen Jianhui has long been commited to the study of modern and contemporary Chinese prose and hence rewarded with academic popularity. He plowed, planted and harvested abundant fruits in the garden of prose with his consciousness of prose theory construction, his aspiration and his spirit of practice, and with his bravery, academic vision and perspectives, he opened up new frontiers for prose creation. This paper dealt with the value of Chen's prose theory from the angles of his prose theory contribution and his academic individuality. |
