| 政论文的翻译是中国对外宣传的重要手段，恰当的翻译可在国际舞台上充分展现中国智慧。论文运用卡特福德翻译转换理论中的词类转换、结构转换、单位转换，采用案例分析法，对《中国共产党第二十次全国代表大会工作报告》英文译本进行剖析，分析译者如何实现原文语意的有效表达，同时为同类文本的翻译提供参考。 |

| The translation of political documents is an essential means of China’s foreign publicity. Proper translation can fully express Chinese wisdom on the worldwide stage. This paper uses the class shifts, structure shifts and unit shifts in John Catford’s Translation Shift Theory to analyze how the English version of The Report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China realizes the effective expression of the original text, which would provide reference for the translation of similar texts. |
