| 周昂作为金源时期的诗人，作诗不局限于一种诗体，各类诗体呈现出不同的风格。古体诗表现出一种崇尚气格的北方文学特质，纵横豪宕；绝句则承袭了元祐以来崇尚自然平淡之美的传统，超轶脱俗；律诗多效法杜甫、苏轼、韩愈等前人，五律沉郁凝练，七律浑厚朴野。律诗是周昂诗歌中成就最高的部分。 |

| As a poet in the Jin Dynasty, Zhou Ang’s poems were not limited to one style, and his various types of poems showed different styles. The ancient style of poetry was characteristic of northern literature which favored the artistic trait: free and unrestrained; the quatrain inherited the tradition of advocating natural plain beauty after the period of Yuanyou in the Song Dynasty: super and free from vulgarity; his metrical verses imitated the styles of the predecessors like Du Fu, Su Shi and Han Yu; the feature of the five-word rhythm poem was gloomy and concise, and the seven-word rhythm poem was of vigor and simplicity. The metrical verses were the most successful part of Zhou Ang’s poetry. |
