The rationality of the concept of "self oral history" put forward by Feng Jicai is worth exploring. If "self oral history" is possible, it is a one-way oral history, which should possess the basic conditions of voice, interaction, recording, text and so on, with only a single subject. As far as oral history and autobiography are concerned, more and more researchers have blurred the boundary between them. Although both have similarities in form and content, there are significant differences. Mr. Feng Jicai's work is essentially "a non-fictional autobiography" and the concept of "self oral history" is put forward mainly for the purpose of seeking reasonable theoretical support for "non-fictional autobiography". |
